I come from a musical family! My dad was a drummer/ pastor, and my mom is an accomplished pianist/ organist, and my dad’s right hand in leading worship! I never learned to play or read music, although I did play the trumpet in middle and high school and I had to play by ear and watch others put their fingers in the right places when playing their instruments. Music is all around me at all times, and people who know me know how important it is to me! In 2009 I was a talent buyer for a venue called “The Bear Cave” in Marietta GA, and I began booking for a few bands that were just getting out there. I found out 2 things back then: Original music was tough to sell and make money for live music venues, and you don’t make money booking bands! My passion for original music and live concerts never wavered. In 2019 I booked my very first house concert in my home with the amazing Jonathan Peyton from Woodstock GA. I rearranged the entire living room for that show which wasn’t ideal for my wife, but the show was amazing and house concerts became my passion! I took a brief hiatus during Covid, and moved to Woodstock GA in 2022 where I am blessed to be able to host my shows for my neighbors in a beautiful neighborhood clubhouse. Hosting house concerts is such an incredible way to not only discover new music, and share with your friends, but you get to meet the most amazing artists along the way. Many have become some of my dearest friends! I can’t recommend hosting house concerts enough! Please like, comment and share my blogs, and don’t hesitate to contact me if I can help you launch your own house concert series! Happy Hosting!
